A nice informational site in Swedish would be great, mostly targeting decision makers + new developers. Perhaps easiest and best as a section on umbraco.org, but I dont know what HQ say about that? Maybe translations of the most important pages to begin with? I'm sure we are enough people that are willing to help with that.
+ a Swedish forum section to answer questions from people that prefer their native tongue. Hey, wouldnt that be great thing for several non-english languages?
Jonas: a swedish forum or a forum in any other language than english would be a big loss for all those people that doesnt speak that language. Same questions are going to be answered over and over again in different languages.
I think that most people in this business is quite comfortable with english :)
+ for sharing translations and local ideas! Best would to make it inside Our to not spread the info.
Yes,
Froad, I'm with you there, but thats mostly for developers. I was thinking of
the quite large group of decision makers, perhaps mainly on smaller
companies/organizations that are not so comfortable with all English. Ok, information pages + a FAQ in Swedish and phone numbers to solution providers might be good enough. :)
I havent seen any Umbraco-discussions on WN, SweNug or Pellesoft. Other places?
I've just had a discussion with the owner of the domain umbraco.se. And he might be ok with releasing the domain to the owner of the Umbraco brand.
So Niels, if you read this. Could the Swedes have permission to do a similar solution like http://umbraco.de but instead http://umbraco.se with the beautiful language of swedish instead?
In that case, please Contact Michael Johansson at Music Link in sweden.
Swedish meetup?
Anyone interested in a Swedish meetup?

Count me in :)
The topic has been discussed here before but I couldnt find it..
+1 from a bit further up north aswell. And what about getting a trainer to Sweden for a lvl 1+2 course?
/Jonas
That would be awesome..
I agree, a trainer to Sweden would save me a lot of money.
Travel and accomodation i Copenhagen is not cheap...

Another thing regarding .se. Umbraco is worth a (high) place in the list "most popular CMS among corporations in Sweden", dont you think? http://www.mkse.com/2009/09/16/popularaste-cms-valen-bland-svenska-foretag/ Suggestions on how?

Jonas: I agree. I wonder who might be holding on to the umbraco.se domain name.

umbraco.de - nice one, didnt know about that, thats how it should be done! (a bit of work though)
Just received an email from Niels, maybe there is a better solution. I'll be back.
But one thing for sure, umbraco.se should point us to a Swedish version of umbraco.org.
//Kalle
Ok, sounds promising :)
Yes, but its not there just yet. http://www.umbraco.se, http://umbraco.se
I hope HQ will try to take control of this domain soon.
Hi again!
Any news regarding this meetup? Date/place etc?
