Clean install of 4.6.1, .NET 4.0, Sql Sever and using Chrome. Working along and all is fine and all of a sudden, the template editor only displays a plain old textbox (http://screencast.com/t/au28LmdFX no hilighting/line numbers) and now I am unable to save. Here are the javascript errors:
Perhaps you should try and delete the ClientDependency folder within the App_Data/TEMP folder and see if that helps - could be some weird caching issue perhaps. Long shot, I know :)
That's good to hear. Come to think of it what you experience might be an issue related to 4.8.1 - not 100% sure but something in the back of my mind rings a bell.
If it's an option you could try upgrading to 4.9.1 and see if that fixes the issue. Think there was some changing of the code editor that did not quite work as expected...but again not 100% sure.

Any thoughts?

Maybe this can help:
In Chrome the editor is not shown up at all.
Whereas in IE editor looks like regular TextArea (text highlight doesn't work):

Jan,
Thanks for the answer. I've just check in FF, and it works perfectly! So, you are right about caching problem.
Removing the ClientDependency folder didn't help, but now I have something to mess around with, and will try another solution later. Thanks.
