    umbraco.config content is not updated

I work with version 4.0.3 of Umbraco.

The customer complains about a content not updated.

I search since two days why on production server and also on staging server, the file umbraco.config is not updated?

I set permission 'NETWORK SERVICE' with full control on all directories, sub-directories and file -> don't work

I set permission 'EVERYONE' with full control on all directories, sub-directories and file -> don't work

I click on the top node of my project and click 'Republish entire site' (many times) -> don't work

The only things is to delete the umbraco.config file and refresh the site, the site recreate the file but it's not an option for me on production servers and I cannot ask to the customer to do this.

I change in umbracoSettings.config the parameter <XmlCacheEnabled> to False but on production servers, it's not an option for the customer, the customer want publish and see the content updated.

    What's the problem? It's a Bug ?

    Thanks to help me.

    David

Hm, only thing I can think of is if the file is locked by another program so Umbraco can't overwrite it? Did you encounter any trouble deleting it yourself?

If you are using IIS 7.5, are you using NETWORK SERVICE or the IIS AppPools\{Your-AppPool-Name} identity?

    Hi Dado

Could you check to make sure that the file is not set to read-only in the file system?
