4.7.1 upgrade messed up Members only section

I made a members only section with a login page using and asp:login following the video tutorial. It was made in 4.5.2.

When we upgraded our website, the login stopped working the the area we had for Members only to login to is now public and doesn't require a password.

    What could have happened?

    Hi Carlos,

Check to see if maybe you overwrote your /App_Data/access.config (or it might be in /data/access.config)?  This is where umbraco stores which pages are protected.

    Tom,

Thanks for the response. Luckily we only had one member group.  So access to that was easy to reset up setting up the Public Access again.

I will keep the access.config in mind next time, since we will probably be adding more Public Access areas.

Thanks again for the bit of knowledge.
