Does Umbraco work with Firefox, Safari and Chrome for Mac? Lots of errors
Hi There,
We've had a developer build us an Umbraco site but we're epxeriencing a range of issues such as Umbraco inserting <span> when trying to bold stuff and if we try to adjust an image size we get errors like this:
Input string was not in a correct format - An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code
It looks like the size in the image window gets replaced with "NaN" which causes the error above.
The developer has created a style which puts a class of bold on the span as a workaround to the bold issue and has said that we should probably be using Internet Expplorer - which is obviously not possible when we use Macs.
We experience these issus in Firefox, Safari and Chrome for Mac. I'm not sure how to figure out the Umbraco version or asp .net versions etc but I'm posting here to ask if anyone else experiences these issues - and if they can be fixed?
Any help or pointers in the right direction would be much appreciated.
Thanks heaps for your reply but I'm a bit confused sorry.
That XSLT error is from this forum while trying to correct spelling mistaks from my first post - every time I tried to save the changes, I would see that error.
The other errors - making text bold, adjusting the size of images etc (from my first post) all occur on our Umbraco site in the latest versions of Chrome, Safari and Firefox for Mac - I've run out of browsers to try!
I guess I was trying to understand (being new to Umbraco) if our new site is Mac friendly - it's something we stipulated before building the site as our company uses Macs.

Even when trying to fix the typo in "Expplorer" in the original post above, I get the following error when trying to save:
Error parsing XSLT file: \xslt\forum-commentsList.xslt
So am guessing Umbraco is not very Mac friendly maybe?
umbraco would run equally fine on all morden browsers on any OS. the error you having is an issue with the xslt file that you mentioned.
you should post the content of this xslt file so that people can look at and help out.
Thanks heaps for your reply but I'm a bit confused sorry.
