When I change and publish the root node (home page) of the site from the content panel the content disappears when I reload the page.
If I preview the page the content is still there, but the rich text fields show as blank. If I subsequently save this then the blank content is persisted.
Using revert to a previous version restores the content making it editable again.
The upgrade process work seamlessly, and I followed the guidance for the upgrade for the manual changes.
After the upgrade I republished the entire site, and noticed the the content on the homepage was cleared.
I then restored the database pre upgrade and repeated the upgrade and through a little trial and error determined that it was publishing the content on the homepage causes the problem.

Hi Ian and welcome to our :)
What was your upgrade process?
Did you upgrade from 4.8 to 4.9 etc. or did you go straight from 4.8 to 6?
/Jan
