6.0.5 and Publishing was cancelled by a 3rd party plugin
Hi!
I had a site running 6.0.0 that worked great. Now when I have upgradeed to v6.0.5 due to the security stuff I can't publish anything. I get the "Cancelled by 3rd party plugin" message.
The only package that I have installed is Contour v3.0.7.
My set up is very simple, 2 doctypes.
Page - Frontpage (inherits Page)
No mandatory properties on any of the doc types and I can't publish anywhere - even tried to add a new root node and publish by right clicking and publish from the context menu - same error.
Any ideas?
EDIT: Some extra info. I did an upgrade on another site (from 6.0.0 to 6.0.5) at I don't have the same problem there. The other site dosen't have Countor installed and it was not a "fresh" V6-site - it was upgraded from 4.x to 6.0.0.
I looked in the tracelog "\App_Data\Logs" and found the error: Content 'Yada' with Id 'xxx' could not be published because of invalid properties.
So I looked very close at all the custom properties on the document types and found that I have put the description in the validation field in on of the properties. No errors where shoun about this in version 6.0.0.
So it was validation-releated as it stated in the issues linked above. I must say that the error messages, both in UI and in the trace/logs could have been better.

Hi again!
After reading about the issue here http://issues.umbraco.org/issue/U4-1975, http://issues.umbraco.org/issue/U4-1860, http://issues.umbraco.org/issue/U4-1648

But... now it works again =D
Thank you for your solution. I did EXACTLY the same. Thank you for saving me a lot of time.
Hi Markus,
Could you mark your own post as the solution please?
