I've uploaded my website from my local machine to a production environment. But now I have an odd problem with media in the media folder. When I upload images it uploads them but doesn't show my image afterwards.
I tought it was caused by permissions but i gave my application pool full access to the media folder and all of its subfolders.
I found an old post, where Kim is moved an website from a local enviroment to a production enviroment. Maybe this could help you to solve your problem.

Just to be sure you can check if your file permissions are good by using this URL.
