    V7 Media Picker images disappearing

Installed V7.0.0 and the Txt starter kit for a play. On the news page, for the image, changed the upload file datatype for a media picker datatype and changed the code over in the Views and Partials. All was ok. Then I decided to select an extra image. I can select multiple images, but when I hit "Save and Publish" they disappear. This happens whether I've chosen to use the Media Picker (Legacy) or Media Picker with "Pick multiple items" selected. Thought republishing the site might help, but it didn't.

Any ideas where it's going wrong?

    Cheers,

    Craig

I have the same issue. I have the steps shown here. This is a brand new 7.0.3.

I have a customer with the same problem. Media picker is working fine for me on a Mac, in Chrome. For my customer, he says the uploaded image "shows for about 5 seconds then goes, no error message".

Slightly discouraging that this problem was reported last November 2013, updated in February 2014, and I can't find a response anywhere on the web.

Any ideas anyone? Thanks as ever!

Did anyone get to the bottom of this one? I have an install which is doing precisely this. 7.2.4. I'm sure it's some bad setting, but I can't guess what it would be.

I think it may be file size. I could make this happen with a small 1px wide jpeg. I tried various naming, but nothing helped. Then I made it 32px wide and it saved ok (well they always saved), but more importantly it became visible in the grid and I could "pick" it to use it.

Thesis: something in there is ignoring small images?!

No, it's a plain vanilla install. Making the image bigger fixed the problem. Weird, is it not.
