Member email validation does not allow valid domains (Umbraco 7.1.4)

It seems that the core server side validation for member email addresses is too strict.I'm trying to update a member's email address but the address '[email protected]' is not allowed.

Is there a way to configure this or is this part of Umbraco core?

Hi Wobarry and welcome to our :)

I think this is an issue that should be reported on the issue tracker at http://issues.umbraco.org/issues - I'm guessing it's due to a regex somewhere in the source code of Umbraco that needs to be changed.

    /Jan

This is 2 years old now!

Any movement on this at all? I'm just trying to start using membership and it won't allow me to register the email as a test email for the site's own domain!
