Our is unfortunately unstable...the servers have been moved and upgraded several times but it keeps happening. I think it's due to the fact that the forum is old and the numbers of posts and users that are using it at the same time is increasing and the code behind it probably has some flaws as well.
I know that the guys are trying improve performance from time to time though. But perhaps it should be reported on the issue tracker (yes, Our bugs can be reported there as well) since it's actually been happening more often lately.
Why did our.umbraco.org Go Down Again?
The entire site was just down for a while. Seems to happen periodically. Why is it that the forum occasionally goes down?

Turns out that Azure have had some issues yesterday and today it seems, which is probably the reason to the issues you have experienced yesterday.
