i also have almost same issue with my stylesheets .. giving this error:

"[CssErrorHeader]Please make sure that you have permissions set correctly"

the other day i had a problem with my templates when trying to save theese saying something about making sure i havent got more templates with the same alias ..?

I'm running a site at Unoeuro, and I had to contact their support department to make them fix my permissions - and that cleared out all my permission problems. I don't remember if I experienced the problems already during installation, or during operation.

It is definitely a permission problem. The owner of your site's application pool (NETWORK SERVICE, by default but your host may use something else) needs to have at least 'modify' permission to a number of folders. That is, the application pool owner must be able to create/read/update/delete files.

    This script may help... http://blog.vizioz.com/2009/10/umbraco-permissions-script-secure.html

    cheers,
    doug.
