Unusual number of calls to ScheduledPublish service

    Hi,

My IIS logs are full of POST requests to:
    /umbraco/RestServices/ScheduledPublish/Index

These are occuring once every minute. There is also a call to /umbraco/ping.aspx every 5 minutes.

Is this usual? I don't seem to be experiencing it on my other Umbraco sites.

This a freshly installed 6.2.5 site.

    Thanks

    Paul

    Hi Paul,

I'm also seeing this issue. I don't have a solution for it.

Im too getting way tooo many hits to /umbraco/RestServices/ScheduledPublish/Index

and this is bringing the cpu utilization to max and site down.

    On 7.1.8.

How did you guys manage to fix it?

Can we somehow block this URL to public? /umbraco/RestServices/ScheduledPublish/Index

A bump and plus one. Mine seems to be related to some spam posts to Umbraco Forms which are bypassing the Captcha field.

    Anyone?

Anyone in the thread managed to find a 'hack' for the issue to-date?

Not yet. Somehow spam is finding its way through Umbraco Forms and through the Captcha. Looking to upgrade but upgrades have never gone well for me in Umbraco.

If you find a solution, let us know! This thread is stagnant, its been a long time since OP.
