Not sure whether it's the version used in Umbraco 6.1.6 that could be the issue perhaps? Could you try making a clean installation of 6.2.5 and see if you can re-create the same issue on that version? If it can not be re-created then it might be worth to consider doing an upgrade.
Or encourage the client to use an alternative browser while working in Umbraco if possible. It's odd since it should be working in those versions of IE though.
Umbraco RichTextEditor Not working in IE
Hello Team,
We are working with umbraco version 6.1.6
We are not able to use RichTextEditor in IE. It fires error when we click on Html view.
Also the Create link button is not working. When we select the media item it does not generated the link.
