An error occurred with the scheduled publishing ... The operation has timed out.
Hi all,
we are running version 7.1.5 of Umbraco on a non-load balanced environment.
We have noticed that intermittently the site becomes unresponsive (CPU's max out). When we look at the logs we notice that this error coincides with the times that the issues are visible:
2015-06-10 08:38:32,061 [16] ERROR Umbraco.Web.Scheduling.ScheduledPublishing - [Thread 82] An error occurred with the scheduled publishing
System.Net.WebException: The request was aborted: The operation has timed out.
Does anyone know if this is a known issue with Umbraco 7.1.5?
We clear out the releaseDate and expiryDate fields from the db which seems to help but it seems that there is something internally with the scheduled publishing code that is causing the CPU's to max out.
We are thinking of upgrading to a later version of Umbraco but we want to be sure that it is going to fix the issue as it is a lot of work...
