Hi. Anyone tell me what would cause individual macros that make up a web page to be indexed by search engines as pages in their own right?
For example, on an existing page that's made up of a series of macros, one being a simple text block, a link to the text block macro is appearing in certain Google search results as if it were a page itself. You click on it and you see the content of the text block only.
Any ideas how you exclude macros from being regarded by Google etc as pages?
That sounds really weird - Are you sure that the macros are not being used on some alternative templates or something by mistake, which could lead to this?
But it's hard to figure out what the culprit might be without knowing more details about your solution - So it would be nice to know if you have been doing any customization using the Umbraco API any route hijacking etc. etc. ?
Are you making use of any 3rd party packages?
What is the exact version of Umbraco that you're using?
