Login with subdomain X won't get changes visible under subdomain Y

    Hello

I finally can explain now why my content i published doesnt get visible on front page every time i clicked save and publish. I have an umbraco installation with 2 subdomains:

    www.domain.ch
    my.domain.ch

When i log into umbraco using the url "www.domain.ch/umbraco/login.aspx"  and i change the content of a page under a node with hostname "my.domain.ch", the content gets saved and publish (visible in umbraco.config), but doesnt show up on the front page. Same is the other way around: Login with my.domain.ch, nodes under www.domain.ch arent visible on front page.

The node relating to www.domain.ch is also configured to catch requests without a subdomain: http://domain.ch. Same behavior as described above with login www.

Of course, if i touch web.config, changes are visible.

Is there a misconfiguration, or is it a bug?

    Umbraco Version: 4.0.3
    ASP.NET Version: 2.0.50727.0
Windows / IIS Version: ? / Shared Hosting

Same happens to the Windows Live Writer: If I configure http://my.doesnotexist.ch/umbraco/channels.aspx, things get visible, with http://www.doesnotexist.ch/umbraco/channels.aspx, changes dont appear.

Btw: Maybe some mod can edit the domain name in the opening post, sorry. Didnt know it would exist.

I sounds like the IIS is misconfigured. Make sure that only on IIS site points to your umbraco site, and add all your hostnames to that single IIS site. This way all the sites run under the same app pool, thus using the same in memory cache.

If they run in different iis sites, then there will be different versions of the cache, causing symptoms like you mentioned.
