Option to reply to individual posts rather than just the thread
What would be useful is to have a "Reply" option against each post in a thread so that you can(if you choose) reply directly to a specific post in a thread. Then on the response you could have a small link saying "In reply to" that points to an anchor on the post you were replying to if the response was specific to a particular post in a thread.
Because of the speed of responses on the forum these days this would keep replies in context rather than getting confused as has just happened in a thread I was participating in. You could of course still just reply to the thread as you do now if you choose to.
I would be interested to see/hear feedback on this idea and the possibility of making it into the site?
Think its a great idea - but the design should be changed to fit this feature. If you just have a "In reply to" anchor you could get jumping around and thats a little confusing i think :)
