    Guestbook for Umbraco 4.5+ ?

    Hi all,

    Im building a site for a friend - and she wants a regular guestbook. Does anyone know if there's a package out there that does the trick?

    If not, I hope someone could help me set it up in some XSLT with the right macro's..

    but I have one issue with it.. Or my XSLT skillz.. How do I(/user) delete comments again?
    Can someone maybe help me make somekind of list readout into backend? with a simple delete/hide command..?

    Erh, not sure I follow..

    Should I make a tab for the comments? if so, what alias and dataType?

    Is there a guide for this ? -.-'

    make sure you have this on your dashboard.config file, if not add it

    <section>
        <areas>
          <area>content</area>
        </areas>
    <tab caption="Comments">
          <control>/usercontrols/UComment/UCommentModeration.ascx</control>
        </tab>
      </section>
    you can access the dashboard by clicking on the "content" node in content section, there you will see all the comments and select which messages to delete.

    Wonderful, I finally got time to take a look at it now..

    Erh, I found the Comments in the Content area.. And I see the DELETE labels, but nothing happens when I YES to confirm the delete.
    Checked or unchecked, nothing happens when I do this. Only the popup with yes/no. But nothing happens afterwords..

    Can someone give an explanation please?

    /Djan

    Hi there,

    this package is pretty cool... I kinda got it to work, it's just that when I type something and then click the "Post Comment" button, nothingh happens. Can anyone help out? (I'm using the newest version of umbraco, 4.7.)

    Greets Kevin
