    Package Download Counter and Old Releases

    I uploaded a new version of my package. I wanted to bury the old version, but not delete it, however I couldn't ...  so I delted it instead.

    When I deleted it my download counter was reset. :-(

    So my suggestions are:

    • keep a 'project wide' download counter seperate from individual files.
    • keep counters on each file too.
    • Allow downloads to be 'buried' on an old versions page
