I've been trying to reach Hendy for a while now, to get my blog back into the pipes, so that my Umbraco related posts show up in the community blogs list. It seems that he's on some sort of a hiatus.
I have some posts lined up, but I would like them to reach the people that are on here and not on Twitter as well.
I think the pipes account should be available for edit by the Umbraco core/admin team as well. That way, it does not rely on one single person who might disappear for an extended period of time.
As far as I can tell from the comments on the pipes blog post, the newest blog that is actually in the pipes, is simm.dk (August 3rd), even though he says he's added other ones, they are not now in there. I've tried commenting on the post, but the comment has not been approved yet.
Have you tried to send Hendy an e-mail. I think that you're right in the case that it doesn't gets updated we should move it. It shouldn't be a big issue to make a new pipe with the same list of blogs, but since the initiative is Hendys I think he deserves a chance to respond.
Of course, I did not mean that you should take his great initiative away from him. I am, however, suggesting that it would be a good idea if some of the Umbraco people also have access to it, if you're going to use it on our.umbraco.
Hendy has been in touch now and he's not sure why some blogs seem to have disappeared, so I'm sure this will get worked out!
Hi, sorry for the delay... What blogs are missing ? I add them whenever I come across new ones.... more than happy to open up the pipe - I think the last one added was Stefans in Nov....
I'll double check them all, and those listed in the wiki too... I've not removed any, so not sure why some should apparently disappear.... (time out issues perhaps ?)
@Benjamin, perfect, an Umbraco Category or mentioning Umbraco in the post title will do the trick.
@Jason, added :)
@Sebastian, thanks for the screenshot - very strange, as quite a few are missing from your view !
@Chris, cheers for the debug info, I'm wondering if there are versioning issues - as I recall Ruben closed his blog somttime ago, and it was removed from the pipe... this may explain the different views, but such discrepences still seem bizarre !
I had also noticed that pipes has issues comparing dates on some feeds, complaining of invalid formats, which made be think that perhaps posts appeared to disappear as they were incorrectly sorted - just a guess atm....
Checked all the feeds and can confirm each of the following listed below are working - also removed the redundant feeds (which were in a debug fetch) and republished in case that has any effect. The date sorting issue was resolved using the y:published field in preference to the item:pubDate although the following two feeds don't supply dates:

Hi guys,
Any chance that when I get my blog up and running I could add mine to the community list?
Cheers,
Benjamin
Hi Benjamin,
Added http://www.benjaminhowarth.com/blog/rss.aspx, is every post to be Umbraco related ?
Cheers,
Hendy
This is very, very odd.. so I'm looking at the source of the pipe here: http://pipes.yahoo.com/pipes/pipe.edit?_id=8llM7pvk3RGFfPy4pgt1Yg
I don't see my feed (or bejamin's) in there, but I do get post from my site in the feed when I view the RSS feed here: http://pipes.yahoo.com/pipes/pipe.run?_id=8llM7pvk3RGFfPy4pgt1Yg&_render=rss
The ID is the same, so I must be looking at the correct one..
So why don't I see the feed URL in the pipe, it's weird!
Bizarre! http://www.benjaminhowarth.com/blog/rss.aspx is at the bottom of the second fetch feed from the left, and http://feeds2.feedburner.com/cultiv is the 22nd one down in the first fetch feed list.
LOL! This is nuts, okay, this is what my screen looks like in Chrome, Firefox and IE8:
http://www.mobypicture.com/user/cultiv/view/5838034
Maybe there is some privacy setting or something? I'm glad that at least you can see the url's though, I was almost thinking that I'd gone crazy. ;-)
Strange..
When I look at the Yahoo pipes I also do not see Sebastiaan's blog and mine is also not mentioned, but I'm pretty sure it is also in the feed?
I get the following errors when I refresh the pipe:
Cheers,
Chris
Not every post will be Umbraco related but I can set up an Umbraco category which you can then feed off :-)
Any chance the ProWorks blog could be listed? We post on Umbraco every so often under the tag umbraco.
http://www.proworks.com/blog/tag/umbraco/
It's not obvious how to get a tag feed so here's the RSS link:
http://www.proworks.com/blog/tag/umbraco/feed/

Checked all the feeds and can confirm each of the following listed below are working - also removed the redundant feeds (which were in a debug fetch) and republished in case that has any effect. HTH,
Hendy
Whoa! Well now it IS working, it must be the publish you've done. Finally, mystery solved. :-)
Thanks so much Hendy for looking into this!
Thanks and thanks for maintaining this Pipe! It's super useful.
Yo,
Updated my site to run on Blog4 - can my link be updated please to http://www.benjaminhowarth.com/home/rss.aspx?filterby=umbraco ?
P.S. Can someone tell me if this is the right RSS URL format for Blog4?
Muchos gracias!
Benjamin :-)
Hi Benjamin, what's happened to your blog ? Seems to have disappeared !
Hi Hendy,
Is there any chance I could get my Blog added to the feed? To get just the umbraco stuff, you can use:
http://www.attackmonkey.co.uk/blog/rss?tag=umbraco
:)
is working on a reply...
