"Edit Template" as a data-type or a wysiwyg that has better formatting support for markup

    Hi

I know this question has been asked before but the posts are very old....

we have a fringe case where a user needs to edit raw html, we would like to use the audit trail feature so a data-type would be preferable.

We have tried the existing data types but the html loses all of its formating, Is there any way to use the Edit template editor as a data type? or are there any editors out there that will retain the indentations of the html.

    Any ideas??

    Many thanks

Ok Managed to find a solution.

we used the uckeditor found here:

    https://our.umbraco.org/projects/backoffice-extensions/uckeditor/

We then added the code mirror plugin to the package and got exactly what we needed.
