I am trying to use MvcBuildViews to compile the views when we build the colution using team city and the build triggers on every commit. However, the build is failing and the error I am getting is:
[16:57:28][Step 1/2] /temp/umbraco/webService.asmx(1): error ASPPARSE: Could not create type 'umbraco.webService'. [C:\TeamCity\buildAgents\Agent2\work\e9452fbccd49791e\CMS.Web\CMS.Web.csproj]
I am not using a compiled version of Umbraco 7.3.0 and i noticed that our deployment was taking a long time on Azure cloud using master/slave web apps. To optimize the deployment, I read somewhere that using MvcBuildViews causes the compiling to happen on build and not on deployment.
