Is Macro Container still available as a property editor in v7.10?

We are using Macro Container in v6.0.3 and want to upgrade to v7.10.

When I did a trial upgrade, after much fiddling around, I managed to get the database upgraded to v7.10.4 and Macro Container was still available for data types.

However, when I went to do the production upgrade, it's no longer appearing.

It is still listed as a built-in property editor in:

    https://our.umbraco.org/documentation/getting-started/backoffice/property-editors/built-in-property-editors/

Did something go wrong during the upgrade?

Or if it is not available, what options are there for replacing it?

    Hi Lesley,

The Macro container was in the early days the only built-in way to allow repeated content out of the box.

It allows a content editor to add multiple blocks. Each block is one of the selected Macro's, wrapping an xslt, usercontrols or Macro Partial.

Today there are other options to have repeated content like Nested Content, Grid Layout and many other controls in different packages.

So the Macro Container is not available as a property editor in v7.10 instead you should look to see if you can use Nested Content or the Grid Layout.

    Hope this helps,

    /Dennis
