How do I copy a document type to another site in cluding its properties? or is there an export feature i'm not aware of?
You can make a package in the developer section.
Rightclick on the document type, export document type
on the target system do a right click on the master document type item (named Document Types) and choose import
It's an export as xml. If you are using own datatypes you might get some problems with the property settings
