First time, I've worked with the new version of Umbraco v
4.5.2 (Assembly version: 1.0.3891.20719). When I create any child pages from the home page. Under the properties tab the link to document shows as a #.
Got the same issue. Republishing fix the issue, but creating new documents result in the annoying # link. Republishing is an OK workaround, but this issue should be raised as a bug.
I ran into this problem after upgrading a site to 4.5.2, the only way to resolve it was by doing a full republish (i.e. right click on home page and click 'publish'). Doing a 'republish entire site' doesn't work as that just refreshes the cache.
You can also do this by going to...
/umbraco/dialogs/republish.aspx?xml=true
...which republishes the XML for absolutely everything (including media).
I have the same problem also in version 4.5.2. I tried all the hints above without any luck. Since this thread is 6 weeks old I wonder if anyone found out what is going on and eventually how to fix the problem?
Link to Document #
Hi All
First time, I've worked with the new version of Umbraco v 4.5.2 (Assembly version: 1.0.3891.20719). When I create any child pages from the home page. Under the properties tab the link to document shows as a #.
When I click on the link, it opens up the main content panel relating to the umbraco back end. With a url of http://localdev.co.uk/umbraco/editContent.aspx?id=1061#
Any ideas?
Thanks
Eddie
Hi All
Ok, seemed to resolve this by republishing the home page, and all subpages.
Could someone responded so I can close the ticket.
Thanks
Eddie

I have this same problem version 4.5.2 but nothing I do fixes it. Has this been reported as a bug and is it going to be fixed in a upcoming patch?

I discovered that I accidentally had renamed the key umbracoHideTopLevelNodeFromPath in web.config. Silly me :)

Have you added a text field or RTE as a property to the homepage or textpage doctypes?
You need to have properties on the document types and reference the properties in the templates in order for the content to display.
Hi daniel,
I have one tab and two properties on the homepage.
I followed documenttype video from umbraco.tv in which tutor tell how to create document type.
