I have been trying to add and edit a Document Type. Though I can create a document type and add 2 or 3 attributes, adding and saving a fourth attribute and pressing Save causes the system to hang.
I have deleted and readded Document Types and tried this repeatedly, but the indefinate Save request leaves the system hanging indefinately with the "Waiting for localhost" at the bottom of the screen.
This also happens frequently, but not always, when I try to edit a Document Type.
What version o Umbraco are you experiencing this on?
What does the log table tell you? (If you know how to access it - otherwise install the log package by Immo Wache, which gives you the option to see the error log within the developer section).
I'm thinking this might be permissions or perhaps something with timeout...but it's a bit hard to tell by the information above.

It does still freeze from time to time. The workaround I use is to edit the udt file and then upload it.
