I'm a bit confused on these terms after reading different things.  I have to create a template for a web site and I'm kind of confused on how to start since I want to use Umbraco 5.0 and everything seems to be for 4.7 or below.  

What is the difference between a skin and a template in Umbraco.  Is skinning for the cms and the template for the site?  I want to make a proper package so if I need to I can install into another site if needed.  I am a beginner and I need some instruction, but the different sources of information have gotten me confused (pointing me to umbraco.tv will not help me [I've watched all the videos].
