I am struggling to understand how Umbraco can allow users to manage a page where there may be 1000+ items to display on a that page e.g. for a directory. Am I right in thinking that one would create the page and then add nodes under that page for each of the directory items which the page then iterates for display. If so then it would seem that this would quickly become unmanagable beyond any more than a handful of directory items.
Can anyone advise on a more suitable approach which allows users to search, sort and page the items. Is it a cadidate for a bespoke .net component?
