    Template cache, how does it work?

    Hi I'm having another mare of a day, oh how you Umbraco pros must laugh at us newbies!

    I've added a template and everytime I attempt to make changes to it, it's not reflecting in the live site, immediately.

    I've tried emptying browser caches, republishing entire site, restarting app by modifying web.config, restarted IIS. Deleted caches in data folder.

    And then almost what seems at random suddenly the changes appear.

    Whats going on...most infuriating?!?

    The changes you make to a template are usually immediately reflected on the site.

    Are you working locally? Can you confirm that the .master page has your changes but they aren't appearing on the site?

    I'm assuming you have tried a Shift-F5 refresh on the offending page?

    And are you in fact using the template on the page you are refreshing or have you been editing another template, which is not being used on that site? :)

    Sometimes one can just make some weird mistakes because of some confusions. It happens for everyone.
