    Create masterpage templates by default

    Hi Guys. I will apologize in advance for a very simple question. We recently upgraded to 4.11.3. Since the upgrade all new templates are MVC RenderViewPages  rather than WebForm masterpages. I vaguely remember a setting in a config file somewhere that set the default template type back to masterpages but I can’t find it anymore. Does anyone know where to find this option? Thanks.

    Hi Andrew,

    Check /config/umbracoSettings.config and look for <defaultRenderingEngine> - should be set to WebForms if you want masterpages or Mvc if you want Views.

    Thats the one! I think when I was merging my config files, I accidently removed this line because it was nowhere to be found. Thanks for the help.
