    Error on importing existing documenttypes

    Templates and document types

    Hi all,

    I tried to import some of the document types from my existing project to 6.0.3 . Unfortunately it's giving me an error with message

    Data at the root level is invalid. Line 1, position 1.

     

    For your reference I have attached an screenshot of the error.

     

    Any idea please?

    How are you trying to import them ? With a package ?

    No package. I did just import/export functionality that comes within document type context menu.

    I never used that. Can you try creating a package and use that for installing your doctypes

    Hi,

    It works out in the way of package eventhough the problem I mentioned above is problem in umbraco functionality.

    Hi Pasang,

    i get the same error in v6.0.3 :-(

    I have used Umbraco for some time now, and haven't seen this before, so makes me thing that it is a v6 bug?

    The document types that i exported was from umbraco v6.0.0 by the way

    Hi Christian,

    It seems to be a bug in v6.0.3. No problem with previous versions, no propblem with 6.1.0 beta release.

    Had the same problem with 6.0.3.

    Have just moved to 6.0.4 and managed to import the document types with no issues.
