Is it possible to use the tabs defined in a "Master Document Type" when defining properties on a "Derived Document Type"?

I would like to define a table called content on my Master document type. This would have basic attributes such as Page Title, and Short Description.

Then, I would like to add to this tab in the derived document type. For example, I could have a documenttype called news that would add a "Release Date" and "Author" properties.

I would like these new properties to appear on the same tab as the Page Title and Short Description (defined in the master document type) for content editors.

    Is this possible?

    Hi,

Unfortunately this is not possible. It would be a nice feature to have.

    Cheers,

I agree, this would be a definitely plus!

One thing I only just realised is that you can at least modify the order of the tabs, i.e. you can move the Master tabs to the right by giving them a higher sort order than the child tabs.

I will also vote for this :)

    Cheers,

    Chris
