As far as I am aware, the Document Types are listed in alphabetical order ... so maybe change the name to "A Textpage"? (this doesn't affect the Alias name).
I have looked into this in the past. I think the only option you have is modifying the core right now (other than applying the various work arounds suggested above). If anyone has a solution out there we'd be thrilled to hear it.
Mikkel, no wishlist as such, but if you raise a ticket (feature request) on CodePlex, and encourage everyone to vote it up, then the Core team will take notice.
Default structure
Is it possible to set at default structure of the allowed sub nodes to a node.
Example
DocumentType:Textpage
Structure (allowed sub documenttype subnodes)
- Gallery
- News
- Textpage
Right now when I create a subnode to a Textpage Umbraco pre-selects "Gallery" as the documenttype.
It would be really nice if Umbraco chose "Textpage" as the default documenttype.
Hope it makes sence.
Thanks in advance

Yes it is alphabetical order.
I have played with renaming the Document Types.
But it feels like a work-around. It would be nice to do it like it is done with Templates

Are there anybody else who has another way of making a default DocumentType ?

Couldn't this be done with an event? My quick fix was to put a _ in front of the DocumentType name :-p

Maybe I should try and put it on a Umbraco Wishlist.
Does anybody know if and where such a wishlist is located ?
