I am just beginning to learn Umbraco. I've installed it on local iis server / SQL 2008.
When I have created a document type, and then gone in to edit a property, (i.e. richTextEditor), and click Save and Publish. The green button is greyed out and the page doesn't refresh the page.
The button stays greyed out, and all the data remains the same.
If I do a refresh in the browser, the data has been saved.
Alternatively, if I right-click the node and choose publish, I get a continuous "Publishing in progress" screen that never stops loading.
Thanks for the quick reply, Sebastiaan. I was actually wrong, and it is SQL Server 2012.
I checked the logs and learned that there had been MySQL installed on the web server at some point and Umbraco was trying to use that connection somehow. I uninstalled the MySQL stuff from the server and viola, the pages are refreshing, and giving me correct results.

Anyone else have this issue?
If you're using Umbraco 7 then please note that SQL 2008 is not supported.
Other than that, look in App_Data/Logs and see what it says in the log file to get a clue of what's going wrong.
