    Could not load type 'Umbraco.Web.Security.Providers.MembersRoleProvider'.

    Using Umbraco 7

    Hi,

    I'm upgrading our website from Umbraco 6.0.2 to Umbraco 7.1.1 and i encountered a problem on which i can't find a solution. maybe you guys can help me?
    I get the error "Could not load type 'Umbraco.Web.Security.Providers.MembersRoleProvider'."

    Can someone help me how i should fix this?

    Hmmm that is the new Role provider shipped with 7.1. Are you absolutely sure that the DLL's that are in your bin folder are the 7.1.1 bin files?

    Probably asking you to suck eegs, but did you follow all the steps in the upgrade guide correctly as there were a lot of changes to membership and the web.config was updated quite a bit.

    Hey Peter,

     

    Thanks for quick reply. i found the issue by reading your first line. I found out the DLL's were not all 7.1.1

    problem solved! Thank you!
