    Failed to retreive entity data for id

    I get the following error message when trying to edit content : Failed to retreive entity data for id

    I only see this after deploying to our staging server, but do not have an issue while running locally. Any ideas what this could be?

    What exact version of v7 are you using?

    And could you tell us a bit more about your setup? Are you using IIS Express/CE SQL or are you using IIS / MSSQL etc.

    I am using 7.1.1

    The staging setup is IIS / MSSQL.

    The local setup is IIS Express / MSSQL.

    Do you get the same error messages both locally and on your staging environment?

    And so you use the same database for both environments?

    It looks like a few config files were missing from the build. Everything is working now.

    Good to hear that you figured it out. In many cases missing files, or wrong permissions are most likely the issues.

    We're getting a similar issue on umbraco 7.2.2

     

     

     

     

     

    These ids are in a media picker.

    @Anthony - Could it be worth trying to upgrade to 7.2.4 and see if that fixes it?

    @Anthony, make sure you have a trees.config and applications.config first (both should be non-empty files in the config folder).
