Since we're rebuilding our website from scratch with Umbraco 7.1.1, because of Database-changes since the version of Umbraco the website had before, we would like to import our pages with code to keep ourselves from days of work clicking to make new pages. We can use the XML that we found in the "umbraco.config"-file, so in that way, we have our pages and our content. Anyone has a quick way of explaining me how i can do it? Searched some docs, couldn't find a thing about it that i can use in this version.
Thanks for responding. I looked up uSync & uSync Content Edition, and it would do the job indeed. But i need to make a parser for it, so later on, we can just make an xml, run it through the parser. Any idea how i could do that?
This task is scheduled for CMSImport V3. If you have a little patience I would love to work with you to make it rock solid and have a few interesting ideas to support media import form the source system as well. In case you are interested please mail me [email protected].
Making content with code
Hi,

Depending on what version of Umbraco you have currently, uSync + uSync Content Edition might do the job for you.
Hi Jeavon,
Thanks for responding. I looked up uSync & uSync Content Edition, and it would do the job indeed.
But i need to make a parser for it, so later on, we can just make an xml, run it through the parser.

Hi Thomas, can you not use uSync to export from your current site, then modify what you need, then use uSync on the new site to import?
hi Jeavon,
I could, but my actual assignment is to make that parser.
So, it could help me big time to get my content, but it's not what my assignment is.
Ah ok, I would suggest you post in the uSync forum.
