    Mass uploading media and maintaining the structure

    I have a folder full of media that is organized in a specific folder structure. Is there any way to mass upload the media and keep the entire folder structure? When I select, or drag/drop, the root folder into Umbraco the files upload but the folder structure does not. Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

    Jeremy,

    Unfortunately, I did not find a solution. I recreated the entire structure in Media manually and uploaded files to each folder as needed.

    Hi Derrik and Jeremy,

    Perhaps you guys should have a look at the package called bulk manager, is a commercial packages that allows you to do bulk operations to Content Media and Members.

    It developed by Soeteman Software you can find more info about the package here. http://soetemansoftware.nl/bulkmanager and some videos about the product works, http://soetemansoftware.nl/bulkmanager/videos

    Have you used bulk manager? I have been reading the manual and I don't see where you can upload folders / content at one time and keep the folder structure.

    Hi Jeremy,

    I was thinking if you could do the mass upload of the media items first and then use the bulk manager´s move function.

    Hope this can be an option.
