Issue during package installation - Log Manager and FALM

    Hi All,

I've tried installing Log Manager package using 'Install local package' option. After installation, it does show up under 'Installed packages'. But, new 'Log Manager' node is not created in 'Developer' section. The same issue is faced during FALM Housekeeping installation.

Clicking on 'Installed packages' gives error - Request error: The URL returned a 404 (not found):views/packager/edit.html

    Can you please help?

    Umbraco Version - 7.1.3 asp.net version - 4.5 Windows and iis version - Win 8 and IIS 8.0

    Regards, Suvajit P

    Hi Suvajit

I don't think the mentioned packages are compatible with Umbraco 7 - it's possible that it can be fixed doing some minor tweaking but I must admit I'm not sure how to do that.

You can see what packages are currently compatible with version 7 here http://our.umbraco.org/Projects/ProjectsVersioned?v=700 and here http://our.umbraco.org/Projects/ProjectsVersioned?v=710

In regards to a v7 compatible log viewer I think you can perhaps use this one instead http://our.umbraco.org/projects/developer-tools/diplo-trace-log-viewer - However I don't think there is an alternative to F.A.L.M package.

    Hope this helps.

    /Jan

    Thanks Jan for your reply.

I installed Diplo Trace Log Viewer 2.0 (via 'Install local package' node and zip file) and it's also available under 'Installed packages' node.

However, 'Trace Log' node is not created in 'Developer' section post installation (as per Diplo Trace documentation, it should be created). Log files are present in '/App_Data/Logs/'.

Am I missing any steps here? Screen snapshot is attached.

    Warm Regards, Suvajit
