    tab order in umbraco 7.1.1

    Hey all, another question.

I have nested some document types as follows:

    docType1
    docType2

docType 1 has a tab labeled "metadata", with its order set to 99.

docType 2 has two tabs, labeled as "Content" and "SidePanel", ordered as 1 and 2 respectively. Now, the odd thing is, the metadata tab from docType1 is shown on the far left, rather than the expected far right. It works correctly for all other doctypes. Only on docType2 it is not working. Any clues?

Double check if you accidentially have a tab with the same name ("metadata"?) on both docType1 and docType2. Check this on the doc types's "Tabs" tab, not on the "Generic Properties" list.

In 7.2 alpha i use nested doctypes with composition, and can control the order the ay you describe.

Did you ever fix this - I'm having the same problem and it's a right pain. Using umbraco 7.2.4
