0x800a1391 - JavaScript runtime error: 'UmbClientMgr' is undefined
This error occures since version 7.1.2. I hope this will be fixed soon because of a lot of my clients are using IE 10 and I can't upgrade from 7.1.1 to a higher version (and I would like to use Stephans Zbu.ModelsBuilder, which can only be used from version 7.1.4). Can anyone give me an indication of when this error is going to be fixed.
Have you checked wether the issue is reported on the issue tracker or not? If not please file a bug report so the HQ has a chance to get aware of this issue.
Yes, it has been reported by someone else two weeks ago (http://issues.umbraco.org/issue/U4-5111) but it is not assigned yet. Maybe I am too unpatient but by my opinion, this is a serious issue. So I would like to have more comment on a work arround or when this is going to be fixed so this version of Umbraco can be used by IE 10 users.
I can understand that but it's hard to tell how the issue is prioritized and unfortunately the HQ does not have enough hands to keep up with everything. But if you don't mind digging in the source code I'm sure the HQ and the rest of the community will send some karma and love in your direction.
You could try tweeting about the issue using the #umbraco hashtag to see if someone can point you in the right direction. Unfortunately I have no clue about the issue currently :-/
JavaScript runtime error: 'UmbClientMgr' is undefined starting from version 7.1.2
On a clean Umbraco install, the following error is displayed when navigating to the back office with Internet Explorer 10:
