I am looking to build a portfolio page for someone. my aim is to have a basic 5 page website but with a portfolio page that has multiple items that can each be clicked. Once clicked they will show a brief description video and some photos.
I want the user to be able to add mor eportfolio items.
I am brand new to this CMS. Does anyone have any good guides or resources for what i want to do specifically?
I'd suggest spending some time watching the free Umbraco.TV tutorials which will guide you through the initial set up, terminology and principles of Umbraco. With those digested I'd install Umbraco with a starter site and have a play around and try to understand what's going on. What you're looking to do should be pretty straight forward but investing a little time upfront to understand how Umbraco pieces things together will stand you in good stead rather than getting straight into the specifics.
If you have any questions along the way feel free to ask here - there are always plenty of friendly faces around :)
