I'm using the latest version of Umbraco and it is advised for security reasons that you remove the install directory after Umbraco has been installed. I installed Umbraco using NuGet then ran the installation process in my browser. The problem is, when I delete the install directory it break my Umbraco installation and just get directed to the login page with no form fields. Can anyone tell me why this is happening and what I need to do to rectify this issue?
There used to be a install folder in the root of the site, but that changed in version 7.1.0. The note about deleting the /install (root) folder is when upgrading from older installations. It has always been advised to delete this folder for security reasons.
