nothing really, i am just following the tutorials and I was wondering this. In the old situation (webforms) i would build my project and output the files (usercontrols, css, dll's) etc to a folder which I can upload to the live server.
I'm also playing around with webmatrix now and just download/upload an entire site, but while it seems an easy way, maybe it is somewhat overkill to download entire sites? Also, what if I created for example some sort of contactform which could be used on multiple sites. How can one easily manage this.
Most sites are relatively small, so probably won't need a staging/test server. Only local+production I guess. Some cases would use a staging server.
Uploading solution created following Umbraco TV tutorial
So I followed the surfacecontroller umbraco.tv tutorial. But what is the quickest way, and which files, to upload this to my live site?
thanks
Hi there
Could you tell us a bit more about your setup?
Do you currently have a local environment and a live site? Or do you also have a staging environment?
