Multi sites Umbraco 7 - publishing problems (content does not update)

I have four small websites on a single Umbraco installation (v. 7.1.4) and everything is working just fine, except for the publishing: when making changes to a page and publish, the front-end content does not updated. The only way to update it is to do a web.config touch.

I checked every bit of documentation to ensure that I have everything in order and I have: each website has its domain name, its own pool etc. and useDomainPrefixes is set to true.

I have spent hours trying to change different settings, but no result.

The different websites do not share templates, each has its own (inherited) document types. They only share a handull of macroscripts (navigation, breadcrumb).
The structure is simple as well:
    Content:

    • Site 1
    • Site 2
    • Site 3
    • Site 4

Any hint, idea or suggestion well appreciated.
    Thanks.

Even I am facing same problem in our live site. Everytime we need to delete umbraco.config file to see changes made in umbraco.

    Please suggest.

Here is how I solved this problem in three simple steps:

    1. IIS: create one site pointing to the root of the Umbraco installation
    2. IIS: On the newley created site, add bindings for each website that will be part of the Umbraco (e.g. mysite1.com, mysite2.com and so on)
    3. Umbraco: under each site root, set Culture & Hostnames to the right webaddress (e.g. mysite1.com, mysite2.com and so on)

It works just fine and no more caching problems.
