I want to implement Umbraco as a CMS in a MVC.net web site. On custom developed site plan is to use Web services for security (block all ports and just keep HTTPS port to call services).
With this plan if back office uses DLL I m guessing it will not able to communicate to database because all ports will be blocked. Can you please advice Umbraco back office use DLL to directly communicate with database or services ? Is there a custom layer available for back office to communicate with database ?
Just to get a better idea of what exactly you are trying tod. Do you already have an existing mvc website and you want to use umbraco as a content store and you want to show that content in the mvc site?
Umbraco back offier use services or DLL?
