I have bene building Umbraco sites for alittle while now. I'm quite happy with my understanding of setting up Umbraco on websites for the purpose of content management.
I now need advice on where to look in order to create membership and logon functionality on a website that has Umbraco installed.
Things that I need to progress onto are:
- Membership + Logon (that isnt the Umbraco CMS logon- as this will be the admin so to speak).
- Forum functionality.
Any input ont hese subjects wouyld be greatly appreciated.

Dialogue is probably a nice package to install if you want membership and forum style templates. Its relatively new but looks pretty awesome.

If you are using Umbraco 7, there are a pre-code snippet for make a login form. Or if you have access to the Umbraco TV I think this chapter http://www.umbraco.tv/videos/umbraco-v7/content-editor/administrative-content/members/ and this video http://www.umbraco.tv/videos/umbraco-v7/content-editor/administrative-content/members/role-based-protection/ will guide you on have to setup a protected area on your website, that requries login.

For the forum I think that you could use the nForum http://our.umbraco.org/projects/website-utilities/nforum I must say that I have tried my self.
