    Can't View User Section

    Hi - I'm new to Umbraco and still finding my feet. 

    I'm trying to create a log in so another person can access our CMS. I don't seem to have access to the "User Section." Is this because I wasn't granted this access by the person who set up my log-in details? He is no longer with the compnay, so any other ways for me to get access to add another user?

    You can reset password for admin user in database. Open table [umbracoUser], find user where id=0,in column [userPassword] set value from you known user.

    Hi Matt

    Yes, if you were not granted access when you started then you won't be able to see the users section.

    As Yakov writes above it's possible to reset the password by doing it in the database directly. This thread contains a lot of different approaches on how to do it http://our.umbraco.org/forum/using/ui-questions/4790-ouch-forgot-admin-password-how-to-reset
