Umbraco 7.2, doesnt update the left-side tree/"content tree" when a node is added or deleted or updated

Hi! There seems to be an issue with the content tree not getting properly updated once a node is changed, deleted or added, could someone confirm this so its not just me..

    Br, Inx

    Hi Inx

It should update properly. I just tested on a fresh installation of Umbraco 7.2 and when I create and delete nodes the tree updates as expected.

Do you see any errors in the console log when you try adding, removing, changing etc.?

    I'm having the same problem.

Umbraco 7.2. No errors in the console log when reloading the page or reloading nodes under Home.

See screen shot of console log.

    Microssoft SQL Server 2014

    Windows 7

    Chrome.

    Hi Bilal

Is a it a fresh installation or did you do an upgrade?

    What browser are you using?

    Hi Jan,

    Thanks for replying so quickly.

    It's a fresh installation.

I only imported my document types from an Umbraco 7.1.8 site - could that be causing the problem?

I'm using Chrome but I can also reproduce the problem in Firefox and IE.

    Best,

    Bilal

    Hi Bilal

That's odd - Just tried on a fresh installation again and it updates fine. Using MSSQL 2008 though but I doubt that has anything to do with it.

Could you try recording a video, which shows what happens? (Or what does not happen).

    Hi Bilal

If you could share it in there then I would prefer that since others can have a peek as well and it would be possible to share it with HQ on the issue tracker easily if a bug report needs to be filed.

    Hi Jan,

Sorry I can't share, because it's a site for a client and I'm not allowed to share details.

But you can maybe try to reproduce the problem. My setup is MS SQL Server 2014 on Windows 7 / Windows Sever 2008 R2. My SQL server is listening on port 1433 / standard port. My database user is owner on the content database. I installed Umbraco manually following the instructions here http://our.umbraco.org/documentation/Installation/install-umbraco-manually

It turns out I had enabled "Enable list view" on my document types.

You can close this one :-)

    Hi Bilal

Aaah, yes that can of course create a bit of confusion when using it the first time and things don't act as it usually does :)

You can mark you latest reply as the solution if you'd like - There is no way of closing topics, just marking them as solved.

    Cheers, Jan
